Standard Cymbidiums are the largest export cut flower crop produced in New Zealand. Our cool maritime summer and mild winter climate ensures we can produce consistently high quality blooms year after year after year. This quality can only be enhanced by the introduction of many exciting new hybrid varieties. |

The original summer flowering Calla species were introduced into New Zealand in the early 20th Century. Over the last 50 years, several dedicated individuals have continued active breeding programmes. This has allowed the New Zealand industry to produce exciting new varieties with a wide range of vibrant colours, improved bloom forms and longer stems. |

New Zealand flower growers were the first in the world to commercialise this uniquely beautiful flower. It is characterised by the delicate yellow to orange Chinese lantern shaped flowers. |

Lilium Oriental are a hybrid Lilium bred for their highly fragrant blooms and unique flower form. Blooms are often much larger than those of their Asiatic cousins with some bloom diameters reaching 20cm or more across. The colour range is restricted to purest white, pale to dark pinks and cream. |

Available in a rich variety of colour, the Asiatic Lily may have upright, side-facing or pendulous type flowers. They are an unscented and prolific bloomer often having between 7 and 12 buds per stem. They are available in large quantities from November to March, and in smaller quantities from April to October. |

The common name for Paeonie is Peony Rose. They have large marshmallow type buds which burst open to reveal a large 15-20cm ruffled flower that closely resembles the common rose. Gorgeous hues of peach, cream, pale pink, white, rose pink and red are available from October to December. |

Tulip - A stunning range of colours (up to 20) are available in New Zealand. The Dutch Tulip is a short 40-60cm variety which is available all year round. The magnificent 60cm plus French Tulip may be obtained from late August to November. |

Both spray and standard forms in a wide variety of colours are available. Flower form may vary considerably from the common spidery inflorescences to the more compact ball. Long lasting stems may reach lengths of up to 80cm. |

An exciting new summer crop which is expected to expand in production over the next five years. A range of colours, from reds and pinks to blues, will be available. |

Lisianthus - A beautifully elegant bloom appearing in an array of colours from darkest purple through to mauves, pinks creams, yellows and whites. Both single and double frilly forms are available. Blooms may be of one colour only or a gorgeous combination of white and one of the colours listed above. |
